Six-time Grammy winners, The Chieftains are now recognized for bringing traditional Irish music to the world’s attention. They have uncovered the wealth of traditional Irish music that has accumulated over the centuries, making the music their own with a style that is as exhilarating as it is definitive. Never afraid to shock purists and push boundaries, in their over 50 years together The Chieftains have amassed a dizzyingly varied résumé. The Chieftains’ most recent album, “Voice of Ages,” found the band collaborating with some of modern music’s fastest-rising artists (Bon Iver, The Decemberists, The Punch Brothers and the Pistol Annies among them) to reinterpret traditional songs for old and new generations alike, proving what the music means today while hinting where it might lead tomorrow.Buy Tickets
Comedians extraordinaire Brad Garrett and Rita Rudner are headed our way for a full evening of smart, outrageous humor! Garrett, former co-star of “Everybody Loves Raymond,” made his bones working the LA comedy clubs, eventually landing a slot on “The Tonight Show.” After that appearance his career took off and he’s been going strong, working every medium from major TV sitcoms (“Seinfeld”), the silver screen (“Night at the Museum”) and voice work in animated films (“Finding Nemo”).
Rita Rudner’s brand is that of the soft-spoken, intelligent but wickedly funny “square.” She’s earned mainstream appeal not only due to her sharp writing, but for putting on a “clean” show. Focusing on the minutia of everyday life and love, Rudner’s humor has earned her a multitude of awards. She’s appeared on the top late night shows, a wide variety of cable specials and is currently lending her hand to comedic screenplay writing.

It’s been more than four decades since drummer/producer Bobby Colomby and friends assembled the first group to successfully blend rock and jazz into a genre-crossing sound and style. So successfully, in fact, that the band’s second album, “Blood, Sweat & Tears,” topped the Billboard charts, beat out the Beatles’ “Abbey Road” for Grammy Album of the Year, and produced three major hit singles, “You Made Me So Very Happy,” “Spinning Wheel” and “And When I Die.” Blood, Sweat & Tears will take the stage to perform their hits with the same unbridled enthusiasm as yesteryear. The band will also introduce some new elements into every performance, including a segment devoted to “Songs We Wish We’d Recorded,” done in classic B, S & T style. Fronting this iconic band is "American Idol" superstar and Huntsville, Alabama native Bo Bice.Buy Tickets

The orchestra recreates big-band jazz as its composers and arrangers intended it to be played, stripping away intervening changes and alterations. The SJMO has rediscovered old classics and more recently has begun premiering new works all in tribute to the great Ella Fitzgerald. John Legend has revealed several personas during his award-winning career. Singer/Songwriter. Musician. Producer. Philanthropist. Entrepreneur. To quote music industry pioneer Quincy Jones, the nine-time Grammy winner is simply “a genius.” Writing about Legend for Time’s 2009 tally of the 100 most influential people, Jones noted, “We’ve seen only the tip of the iceberg. For what he has already achieved in his career, it is going to be fun watching where he goes from here.” The fun begins now. Legend, one of the industry’s most innovative artists, returns after five years with his much-anticipated fourth solo album, Love in the Future (G.O.O.D/Columbia). Taking R&B/soul to the next level, Legend creates an immersive experience about romance, love, hope, commitment and optimism. Enhancing the experience: a rich, melodic soundscape–accented by compelling interludes–that fully integrates the musician’s gospel and pop influences, classical training and unerring hip-hop/soul sensibilities.
